Newmarket - Newmarket - Adelaide Ann (Auckley) Lindquist, beloved mother of Ann, David, and Matthew passed away at her home in the Pines of Newmarket on Monday, July 21, 2025. Adelaide was

born on November 14, 1937 to the late Herbert Albert and Emma Olive (Horne) Auckley in Cleveland, OH where she was raised and educated. Adelaide met her husband, William H. Lindquist, at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM and they were married on June 25, 1966. After they were married, they resided in Ipswich, MA for many years, moving to Newburyport, MA in 1996.

After moving to Massachusetts, Adelaide was employed by the Lynnfield Public School System as a teacher for a short time. She left to raise her and William's 3 children. Adelaide became a substitute teacher at the Ipswich Middle School once her children were in school. After leaving the teaching profession, Adelaide was employed by CVS pharmacies for a number of years.

Adelaide, leaves behind her 3 children and their spouses, Ann Therese (Lindquist) Whitesell and her husband Anthony of Epping, NH, David Christopher Lindquist and his wife Jennifer of Baton Rouge LA, and Matthew John Lindquist and his wife Karen of League City TX. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, James Thomas Lindquist; Meghan Emma Lindquist and her fiancée Charles Mossberger, Madison Grace Lindquist, Mallory Ann Lindquist, and Allison Mary Whitesell, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William, her sister, Charlene, and her brother James.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Twomey, LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Adelaide's funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, both in Newburyport.
