William M.'s Story
William M. Foley was born on May 4, 1931, to William M. Foley Sr and Mabel Colby Foley. He died August 1, 2016. Bills family was the most important part of his life. He attended all his children’s and grandchildren’s games and activities. He graduated from Newburyport High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. Also, he was inducted to the wall of fame in 2010. He then went on to attend Brewster Academy and Boston College. Bill was a Navy Veteran and worked for the phone company until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Robichaud Foley. His sons, Thomas, wife Cheryl, Jeffery Foley, his daughters, Mollie Hounam, husband, Richard, and Melanie Fish; his grandchildren, Amanda O’Meara, husband, Tyler O’Meara, Brett and Michael Foley, Ryan Stanwood, wife, Kristen, Hannah Hounam, Michael Ryan, and Chelsea Fish, and great-grandson, Liam Thomas O’Meara; sister, Eleanor, husband, Phil Poirier; brother to the late Bob and Dick Foley, sister-in-law to the late Gail Foley, also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law to, Theresa Wells and Ramona Foley.
At the request of Mr. Foley’s family funeral services will be private. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting his family with funeral arrangements.
