Stephen "Steve"'s Story
Stephen (Steve) M. Greenhalgh, 67, passed away April 2, 2017, after a long battle with dementia.
He was the son of the late James and Phyllis (Mazzie) Greenhalgh. Steve was born and raised in Everettt, Mass., where he graduated from Everett High School in 1967, after which he attended Wentworth College studying engineering. Steve enjoyed coaching softball, riding horses, playing hockey, golfing, and fixing cars.
He went onto enjoy a career at Lucent Technologies for over 23 years and later worked at Raytheon.
Steve will be sadly missed by his longtime partner, Lynn Maynard; her two daughters, Kelly Maynard and Stacy Romasco and husband, Tony. He will also be missed by his brother, James Greenhalgh and wife, Ginny; his former wife, Cheryl Greenhalgh, and their daughters, Brianne Baker and fiance, David, and Suzanne Smith and husband, Aaron; sons, Stephen and Jay; as well as nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Stephen M. Greenhalgh may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.
Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury, will take place this Sunday, April 9, from 2 to 3 p.m., followed by a service at 3 p.m.
