Stanley Thomas's Story
Stanley Thomas Hardy, Jr. (Tom), 65, of Brooklin, Maine, formerly of Merrimac, Mass., died at his home on August 20, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on August 1, 1951 at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. He attended the Merrimac Elementary School (Donaghue School) and graduated from Pentucket High School in 1969. As a teenager, he worked on Sargent's Farm and Carver's Farm, both in Merrimac. He had lived in Brooklin, Maine for 30 years. During his time in Brooklin, he was a self-employed contractor. In his free time he enjoyed setting out lobster traps, digging clams, fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his parents, Stanley and Eunice Hardy of Brooklin, Maine; a sister, Connie, and her husband, John Gordon of West Newbury, Mass.; a brother, Gary, and his wife Marcia Hardy of Merrimac; his wife, Jeannine of Brooklin, Maine; his daughter, Rhyan and her husband Matthew Kwiatek of Lynn; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life was held at his residence on Friday, August 26, 2016.
