Simone's Story

Simone Fortier Kamieneski was born in Richmond, Canada, on October 14, 1919. She moved to the United States at a very young age, and attended elementary schools from Louisiana to Massachusetts. She was a worker at the Ruth Shoe Factory in Newburyport for a number of years. She worked at Western Electric in North Andover for 25 years, and retired in 1985. Simone was an active member of the Amesbury Seventh Day Adventist Church for over 60 years, where she held many offices including Director of the Community Center for many years. Simone's passion was camping at the Covered Bridge Campground in New Hampshire. She is survived by her three children, Diane Joy and husband, Tim of Tennessee; Bob Kamieneski and wife, Ruth of Tennessee; and Dick Kamieneski and wife, Julie of Salisbury, Mass. She enjoyed her five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Amesbury Seventh Day Adventist Church, 171 Main Street, on August 13, 2016, at 4 p.m.
