Robert Michael Kelley, age 62, passed peacefully at his Newburyport home surrounded by his family on January 16, 2017, after a short but hard battle with lung cancer.
A lifelong Newburyport resident, Bob worked as a contractor for about 25 years with Bill Robitaille of Robitaille Electric, and prior to that for Zinck's Electric. He was an active volunteer, board member and officer of the Essex County Sportsmen's Association, a member and archery coach at Danvers Fish and Game, and a coach of the Massachusetts Junior Pistol team. Bob and his youngest three children volunteered monthly at the Salem Food Pantry.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia Chase of Newburyport, and their three youngest children, Chantal, Sam and Jack Kelley; his sons, Jonathan Kelley and Amber Mackenzie of Salisbury; Jeremy Kelley and Catherine Coleman of Amesbury; Michael and Kristin Chase of Amesbury; Ian Kelley of California; and Sean Kelley of Tennessee; and his daughters, Devan (Chase) and Neal Ferreira of Haverhill; and Meghan (Chase) and Vava Lemes of Brazil. Bob is also survived by his grandchildren, Juliet and Jonathan Patrick Kelley of Salisbury; Oliver, Lucas and Genevieve Ferreira of Haverhill; and Enzo Lemes of Brazil.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at the Newbury Fireman's Hall, 3 Morgan Ave., Newbury, MA 01951 at 1 p.m.
