Robert John's Story
Robert John Bocci, 68, died unexpectedly at his residence in Newburyport on December 20, 2016.
He was born on November 21, 1948, in Newburyport to the late John and Anastacia (Kiman) Bocci.
Robert attended local schools and was a graduate of Newburyport High School. Following his graduation, Robert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served our country proudly for two tours during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of Lance Corporal. He was honorably discharged on February 27, 1970.
Robert is survived by his son, Christopher E. Bocci; sister, Joanna Bocci; nephew, Robert D. Sproul; niece, Christina Pikul; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to his graveside service with Military Honors in the Veterans section of Highland Cemetery in Newburyport on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 10 a.m. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mr. Bocci’s family with his funeral arrangements.
