Richard C.'s Story
Richard C. Bursaw Jr., of Derry, N.H., passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. on January 18, 2017. He was born in Brockton to the late Carolyn and Richard C. Bursaw Sr. The family moved to Newbury, where Richard graduated from Triton Regional High School in 1973. His vocations included service technician for United Shoe Machinery, landscaper, and a bus driver for First Student. He was most proud of earning his Captain's license and running saltwater fly fishing charters off of the NH and MA coasts. He enjoyed hunting and was successful during the first N.H. moose season in 1988. He also built a 1965 Cobra kit car and frequented cruise nights. His artistic ability was expressed through his paintings, furniture, and landscaping.
He is survived by his wife, Norma (Kenyon) Bursaw; sister, Susan Swanson and her husband, Paul of Florida, and sister Amy Merluzzi and her husband, Bruce, of Salisbury, and nieces and nephews.
