Philip K.'s Story
Philip K. Hutchinsor, Sr., passed away in Seabrook, N.H., surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Beverly, Mass., he was beloved son of Raymond and Evelyn (Knowles) Hutchinson The second oldest of five, Constance, Marion, Rosamond and Frank.
He was 1941 graduate of Lynn English High. Married to Katharine G. (Moore) Hutchinson (Kiffy) of Newton Heights, Mass., they had nine wonderful children. He joined U.S. Navy/AirNight Fighter Squadron 79 in 1942 WWII. He received Commendation of Gratitude letter from Secretary of the Navy, services during our nation's time of crisis. He owned his North Shore Outboard & Bicycle Service shop in Marblehead. In 1964, he moved to Newburyport with Kiffy and a large family. He was employed at GE, Supervisor of Steam Turbine Engines Division-Jet Engine Tester, worked on Gemini Project. He retired 1986 to Byfield, with Kiffy of 14 years, Dixmont, Maine. lived and loved until Kiffy's passing 2002. Short stay in Florida then back to his and Kiffy's home in Dixmont, Maine. He came to Seabrook to be surrounded by his family and loved ones, until his passing. He had love and affection for all.
Phil is survived by three of his children, Bonnie Genna, Sharon Freeman, Alan Hutchinson and his beloved Kiffy, Katharine Hutchinson. Phil/dad leaves behind Barbara Hutchinson, Philip Hutchinson Jr., and wife, Marge, Evelyn Gaouette, Jacqueline Hutchinson, Jeanne Gaouette and Roy Lewis, Sallie Zinck and Mike; in-laws, Anthony Genna and Rocky Freeman. He had many grandchildren, great and great-great-granchildren, whom he loved very much. May this remarkable dad return to the love of his life's arms, Kiffy, for all of eternity.
