Percy N.'s Story
Percy N. Brown, 68, died Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. He was born in Newburyport on December 4, 1948, to the late Daniel F. and Harriet (McDonald) Brown. He was employed for many years as a machine operator at Starensier Inc., when the company was located in Newburyport.
He was a member of the Neptune’s Veterans Fireman Association in Newburyport and the St. Jean Club in Amesbury. Percy was most happy spending time with his family and friends.
Percy is survived by daughters, Harriet Gorman of Newburyport and Abby Salt and her husband, Barry of Newburyport; grandchildren, Kegan and Ashton Gorman and Kayla and Mackenzie Salt; siblings, John “Johnny Cake” Brown and his wife, Randy of Exeter, Rose Pelletier and her husband, Edward of South Hampton, Pamela Pelletier and her husband, Alfred of Amesbury; sister-in-law, Denise Hamilton of Haverhill; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Monday, January 30, 2017, form 4 to 7 p.m. at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the funeral home. His funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial at Belleville Cemetery will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Percy’s name to American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
