Pauline J. (Boivin)'s Story
Pauline J. Gosselin passed away on December 18, 2016, at her home at the age of 84 following a long illness. Pauline was born in Amesbury, Mass., on Dec. 14, 1932, daughter of the late Marie Louise Alma (Laitres) Boivin and Hermenegilde Boivin.
She attended Sacred Heart School and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, where she sang in the choir for many years and still sang at Holy Family Parish. She worked for Western Electric for many years until her retirement at which time she cared for her mother for several years.
Pauline is survived by her beloved husband, Bernard Gosselin, whom she married in 1995. She also survived her sister, Blanche Fortier of Dover, N.H.; her brother, Joseph Romeo Boivin of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 10 siblings.
A funeral Mass for Pauline will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish Church, 2 School St., Amesbury, followed by burial in Union Cemetery. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury, MA will precede the Mass from 8:30 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pauline's name may be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, 11 Sparhawk St., Amesbury, MA 01913.
