Norman P.'s Story
Norman P. Veilleux, 87, died peacefully at his home in North Hampton on Friday morning, December 16, 2016.
He was born in Amesbury, Mass., on June 24, 1929, to the late Alcide and Bernadette (Boudreau) Veilleux.
Norman attended Sacred Heart School then worked at the White Lunch as a cook. While still in his teens, Norman met and later married Elizabeth (Betty) Enos. He then began his life's work as a roofer, first with Raymond Roofing, then with Letoile Roofing in Haverhill, Mass., and lastly as a self-employed roofer until his retirement. He and his wife then moved to Leesburg, Fla., for 17 years, returning to New England in 2009 and settling in North Hampton.
Norman is survived by three sons and their wives, Norman "Joe" and Sandra Veilleux of Methuen, Mass.; Michael and Donna Veilleux of Silver Lake; and John and Marie Veilleux of Hampton Falls; one daughter and her husband, Karen and Harry Fowler of Kingston; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his very special visiting angel, Theresa.
He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth (Enos) Veilleux and by all nine of his siblings. His four brothers, Larry, Pete, Marcel and Richard; and his four sisters, Hermanse Borkowski, Lorraine Hussey, Solange Mitchell and Doris Demers.
At Norman's request, there will be no services.
