Norma Evelyn's Story
Norma Evelyn Drouin, 89, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
She was born in Lynn, on July 16, 1927 to the late Harvey and Marion (Hammond) Blood. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn High School.
On August 19, 1945, she married the late Rene Drouin, the couple settled in the greater Newburyport area to raise their family. Norma held several various jobs locally before retiring as a factory worker from Susan Bristol Inc. in Salisbury. Norma was an avid and knowledgable Red Sox and Patriots fan, she also enjoyed watching movies and reading, and loved spending as much time as possible with her family.
Norma is survived by her children, Shirley Foster and her husband Carl of Fairfield, ME, James Drouin and his wife Jennifer of Salisbury, and Ronald Drouin and his wife Joan of Salisbury, grandchildren, Cherie, Christine, Steven, Theresa, Jeffrey, Melissa, Michael, and Shawn as well as several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind her longtime companion Frank Randall of Seabrook.
Family and friends are invited to attend Norma’s Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at Star of the Sea Parish 18 Beach Rd. Salisbury. Followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery in Seabrook. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St., Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Drouin’s family with her funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Norma’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
