Norma Babine's Story
Norma Babine Freije, 90 passed away peacefully on March 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Country Center in Newburyport.
Norma was born on February 8, 1927 to Eva (Goudreault) Talbot and Adolphos Talbot.
Norma was born, raised and educated in Amesbury. She was brought up in a large family with 14 siblings. She was retired from her job as Assistant Treasurer for the Town of Amesbury.
Norma was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was the wife of the late Thomas Babine and the late Ralph Freije. She will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren. She leaves her daughters, Denise Johnson, Joanne Bezanson and husband Paul, Diane Dwyer and husband David, son, Ralph Frejie and wife Linda, and her daughter-in-law, Linda Babine. Norma is predeceased by her dear son, John Babine. Norma also leaves 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Norma enjoyed social events and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved decorating doll carriages for Amesbury Days Doll Carriage Parades. She started with her youngest daughter and continued right though the grandchildren earning mostly first place ribbons. Norma had a passion for dancing which she did for many years, teaching dance as well. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved watching her grandchildren play sports She will be Sadly missed by all.

Calling hours for Norma will be held this Sunday March 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday Morning, March 27, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish Church 2 School St. in Amesbury.
