McKenzie Elizabeth's Story

Text size

You will always live on in our hearts. We sadly announce the unexpected passing of our beautiful daughter, McKenzie, 25, of Salisbury, Mass. Born in Newburyport, Mass., she was the beloved daughter of Kerry (Fleming) Fitzpatrick and her fiancé, Ronald Lynch of Salisbury, Mass., and C. Daniel Fitzpatrick and wife, Deb of North Conway, N.H. McKenzie also leaves behind her brother, Charles D. Fitzpatrick III of Salisbury, Mass., and her sister, Anna Louise Fitzpatrick of Salem, N.H.
Above all else, McKenzie loved spending time with her family and the beach was her sanctuary. A lover of the arts, McKenzie played the bass guitar, loved to go dancing with her girlfriends and possessed a beautiful singing voice. She was also a great writer and avid reader. McKenzie enjoyed many sports and outdoor activities including softball, skiing, snowboarding, camping and swimming with her many friends. She enjoyed styling hair, doing make-up, making jewelry, and was a Girl Scout for many years.
After graduating from Triton Regional High School in 2010, McKenzie earned her certification as a Medical Assistant. She was currently employed with Hannah International Foods in Seabrook, N.H.
The devastation of her passing has turned our world upside down, our hearts wrench with pain. McKenzie loved life as much as she loved her family and friends. She lit up every room with her vivacious personality, effervescence and contagious laugh. Images of her beautiful green eyes and bright smile will forever remind us of her larger than life spirit, and we will forever be thankful that we were all part of her life.
McKenzie is survived by her nephew, Brady Carol, and niece Lilah Walsh; grandparents, Charles and Catherine Fitzpatrick of Lowell, Mass.; five uncles, Stephen Fitzpatrick and wife, Agata of Ghana, Africa, Brian Fitzpatrick and wife, Lucy of Lowell, Mass., Peter McCarthy of Hudson, N.H., Mark Steven Fleming and wife, Michelle of Haverhill, Mass., and W. Christopher Fleming and wife, Joanne of Methuen, Mass.; two aunts, Anne Marie Hanna and her husband, George of Andover, Mass., and Maura Fitzpatrick of Nashua N.H.; several cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, and her very best friend, Sarah Alaoui. McKenzie was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Virginia (Keefe) Fleming and William J. Fleming of Lawrence, Mass.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, January 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Funeral Home, located at 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury, MA. The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 9, at the Star of the Sea Church located at 18 Beach Road, Salisbury, MA. Donations in her memory may be made to the MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
