Margaret H.'s Story
Margaret H. Dalton of Amesbury passed away on January 23, 2017, at the Seaview Retreat in Rowley, Mass.
Born on June 9, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ann Pitzer of Brooklyn, N.Y.
She attended schools in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was a graduate of Brooklyn College. She lived in Amesbury, Mass., for over 72 years and was active as an amateur artist. She was one of the original members and past president of the Newburyport Art Association. She was the wife of the late Howard A. Dalton and is survived by her son and his wife, Howard G. and Karen Dalton of Amesbury; daughter and her husband, Elizabeth A. and Barry Kray of Kittery, Maine; daughter, Susan D. Sullivan and her partner, Joseph Marion of Epping, N.H.; and grandchildren, Christine L. Bryan and her husband, Mike of Seattle, Wash., Jennifer A. Kray of Swampscott, Mass., and Jonathan D. Kray his wife, Nicole, of Clarksburg, Md.
A funeral service for Margaret will be held this Friday, January 27, at 10:30 a.m. at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. One hour of visitation will precede the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
