Margaret E. (Call)'s Story
Margaret E. (Call) Gagnon, age 91, lifelong Newburyport resident, passed quietly Sunday morning, April 30, 2017, at Port Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Newburyport surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Roland Gagnon.
Born in Newburyport, August 9, 1925, she was one of four child of the late Richard R. and Aria (Little) Call and was a graduate of Newburyport High School.
Margaret was dedicated to her family and fully enjoyed the responsibility of being a mother, raising her four children, seeing them grow and flourish, and bringing her great pride. She especially loved seeing the onset of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she spent countless hours doing whatever they wanted to do. She could not have been any happier.
Those left behind the share the memories of her life include her son, Wayne R. Gagnon and wife, Marcia of North Hampton, N.H.; her two daughters, Linda Janvrin of Derry, N.H., and Paula Gagnon of Byfield; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, generations of nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Judy Gagnon; a grandson, Joshua Robert Janvrin; a brother, Mark Call; and two sisters, Aria Robitaille and Doris Kastanopoulos.
Visiting hours at the Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home will be Friday, May 5, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., immediately followed by a memorial service at the funeral home and burial at Belleville Cemetery, Newburyport. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
