Kenneth Raymond's Story
Kenneth Raymond Kisieleski, age 77, of Amesbury, passed Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. He was the beloved husband of Tanya A. (Van Tilburg) Kisieleski.
Born in Kenosha, Wisc., on July 4, 1939, one of three sons of the late Julius and Mary (Wierzbicki) Kisieleski, he grew up on the Shores of Lake Michigan along with his brothers, Leon and Donald who preceeded him in death.
He attended St. Casmir’s Catholic Church and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1957. He attended St. Norbert’s College in Green Bay, Wisc., and graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
In 1962, he entered the United States Navy, enjoying a long and distinguished military career. He retired in 1982 as a Lieutenant Commander.
Ken played high school and college football. He was a lifelong fan of both the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed golf, racquetball, and cross country skiing. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing, his many beloved dogs always by his side.
Upon retiring, he looked forward to traveling and enjoying time with family and friends, but his plans were cut short by the onset of Parkinson’s Disease.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Tanya (Van Tilburg); his son, Timothy and wife, Kathi Durning; his daughters, Tamara Kisieleski, Tracy Kisieleski Haynes and husband, Matthew Haynes, Sr.; along with his three grandsons, Matthew, Jr., Samuel and Joseph Haynes. They will forever cherish the special times and memories they shared throughout his life.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church of the Holy Family Parish, 2 School Street, Amesbury, on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. There will be no visiting hours. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Organization. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.
