Kathleen Ann LaMontagne, aged 70, died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 12, 2016, at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., after a brief struggle with cancer. Kathleen was born July 5, 1946, in Newburyport, Mass., the daughter of the late Norman H. Doyle and the late Margery L. Sheridan.
Kathleen was the gentlest soul, full of life. She lived her life, full of love and care for others. After graduating atop of her class from North Shore Community College in 1993, she dedicated her life to helping others by becoming a CNA, and working at the John Bertram House in Salem, Mass., and later finishing her career at Rainbow Nursing Home in Peabody, Mass. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend, while raising her children with the utmost love and care. She shared a love with her husband, Francis, like no other, with a bond so tight that it remains bright even after she has crossed over. She will forever be missed. Loved by so many, she will never be forgotten.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Francis LaMontagne of Danvers; her four children, Melissa LaMontagne of Danvers, Bryan LaMontagne and his wife, Kandis Sarnowski of Lynn, Kris LaMontagne and his wife, Melanie of Skowhegan, Maine, Robert LaMontagne and his wife, Stacy of Salem; her granddaughter, Alexis LaMontagne of Salem; her brother, Kevin Doyle, and her sister, Maura Doyle, both of Newburyport. She also leaves behind many friends and relatives including her son’s best friend, Saul Mateo, to whom she considered her own son, and her two childhood friends, Diane Robichaud of Salem and Janet Loske of Newburyport.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, at Saint John The Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut Street, Peabody, MA 01960. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to any Care Dimensions Hospice Facility, or your choice of any cancer research center throughout the Commonwealth. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Nadworny Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn. For guestbook, please visit www.nadwornyfuneralhome.com.
