John J.'s Story
John J. Silva III, died at his residence in Newburyport on Monday November 14, 2016.
He was born in Newburyport on February 13, 1968 to Mabel Ann (Brown) Silva and the late John J. Silva Jr. John was raised in Newburyport and was a graduate of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School specializing in Carpentry. Following his graduation, John had several jobs before being employed at Leggett & Platt Crest Foam Co. in Newburyport for 10 years. He was currently employed for the past 15 years at Case Technology in Ipswich.
He was an avid fisherman, always on the water with a fondness for cod fishing. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his twin brother, Joseph J. Silva and his wife, Malinda of Seabrook, N.H.; nephews, Joseph J. Silva Jr. and Anthony J. Silva, aunt Margaret Quimby and her husband, Robert Sr. several cousins, as well as many, many great friends.
Family and friends are invited to his funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in John’s name to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
