Jean (Tomkins)'s Story
Jean (Tomkins) Williamson, 86, beloved wife of the late Russell S. Williamson, passed away on Thursday, September 22, at Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Born and raised in Jersey City, N.J., she is the daughter of the late Harold and Jeannette Tomkins.
Jean and her husband, Russell, resided in Billerica, Mass., before settling in Amherst, N.H., to raise their family. They retired to Lake Alfred, Fla. Jean was a talented seamstress. She often sewed her and her children’s clothing. Jean enjoyed cooking, traveling, and going on cruises with her husband. Most of all, Jean loved being with her family, and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Diane Williamson of Manchester, N.H., Deborah Williamson Flanders of Middleton, Mass., and R. Scott Williamson of Nashua, N.H.; one surviving sister, Ruth Molnar of New Jersey; and four grandchildren, Jessica Flanders of Newburyport, Elizabeth Flanders of Brighton, Nicole Frisch of Tewksbury and Riley Dennison of Manchester, N.H.; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Hazel McDermott, Edith Zimmerman, and Josephine Walters.
