Jason Robert's Story
Jason Robert Nelson “Nelly,” age 41, of Salisbury, passed suddenly from cardiac arrest on March 16, 2017, at Boston Medical Center.
Born in Waltham on June 23, 1975, Jason was the son of Robert Nelson of Merrimac and the late Debra (Bentley) Nelson and step-son of Diane Nelson of Salisbury. He attended Triton Regional High School. For many years, he worked as a salesman for TCS Paving.
Anyone who knew Nelly knows how much of a jokester he was, always lighting up the room with his smile and contagious laugh. Jason was an avid sports fan of all New England teams, especially the Patriots. He enjoyed fishing, playing baseball and basketball. He loved all music and free-style rapping. Above all else, he was the happiest when spending time with his family and friends. They meant the world to him.
In addition to his father and his step-mother, he is survived by his sister, Tanya and brother-in-law, Robert Miele of Newton, N.H.; his brother, Jeremy Nelson; two nieces, Dailyn Hatch and Madison Nelson; two uncles, Richard Riley of Lee, N.H., and David Riley and wife, Theresa of Belfast, Maine; his aunt and uncle, Cheryl and John Eaton; as well as many cousins, including Nicole Eaton; extended family members and dear friends. He will be missed by them all.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Highland Street Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury. Funeral services will immediately follow at the same location.
