Denise McBeth, 58, of Georgetown, Mass., passed away in the early hours of Thursday, January 19, 2017. Denise was born in Woburn, Mass., to Alice Buttler and Louis O'Donohue. Denise is survived by her son, David McBeth, to whom she was devoted; her mother; and two sisters.
Denise was a graduate of Northern Essex Community College, where she earned her Medical Assistant degree in 1992. Denise worked many years as a nurse at Seacoast Medical Associates in Newburyport, where she cared for her patients with utmost professionalism, kindness and dedication.
In 2010, Denise embarked with courage in a totally different professional path and became the first nurse in the region to teach and coach patients how to lose weight rapidly and safely with the New Self medical weight loss program, re-branded in 2013 as MetTrimMD.
Denise was passionate and committed about her craft and had a very special gift of inspiring and supporting her patients to achieve a healthy weight. She will be missed by many.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA. Followed by her funeral service at 12 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Parking available behind the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
