She was a wonderful cook who always made extra, in case it was needed. Widowed at a young age, Claudette went to work as a receptionist in the Radiology Dept. at the Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport and retired from the payroll dept. at Disc Village in Tallahassee, Fla.
Claudette is survived by daughters, Denice and Billy Reed of Strawberry Plains, Tenn., Dawna and Mel Teal of Aurora, Colo., Jeanette and Jim Ritchie of Salisbury, Mass., Theresa Horton of Methuen, Mass.; a son, Francis Gardner, Jr. of Methuen, Mass.; a brother, Patrick and Patty Gagnon of Riverview, Fla.; along with many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 11, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newburyport, Mass. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claudette’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.
