Christopher W.'s Story
Christopher W. Cashman, Sr. died January 13, 2017 at the age of 59. He was the father of Bridget Cates (husband: Russell), Elizabeth Dooley (husband, Patrick), and Christopher W. Cashman, Jr. (wife, Jordan), and the grandfather of Ryan and Nora Cates. He was the husband of Linda McHugh Cashman.
He was the son of Joan Flynn Cashman and the late Charles C. Cashman, Sr. His brothers and sisters were Rosemary, Charles, Michael, Cara, and James. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws, including his mother-in-law, Patricia McHugh. He appreciated the special care given to him by his Aunt Roberta (Bobbi) Flynn and his close friend, Ralph Noon.
Christopher was a graduate of Amesbury High School and Suffolk University. He worked for many years in the marketing and promotional distribution industry. He enjoyed politics, especially serving as a Selectman in Amesbury, quoting presidential speeches, and giving his many opinions on the current political climate. He loved to sing the songs of Frank Sinatra, with “My Way” being his favorite. He was someone who could fix any gadget, and his family learned to rely upon his repair advice. He had a joy for cooking and reading cook books, and his delicious food deserved to be served at the finest restaurants. His sense of humor will be greatly missed.
His funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish Church, 9 Sparhawk Street, Amesbury. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home in Amesbury.
