Charles H.'s Story
Charles H. Tassinari, 64, of 471 Egret Circle, Barefoot Bay, FL, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 surrounded by his family with love at his home.
He was the son of the late Anthony, “Coach Tass,” Tassinari and Elizabeth M. (Burkinshaw) Tassinari. He was born October 13, 1952.
Chuck attended St. Colletta’s School for Exceptional Children Hanover, from 1959 until 1968 and graduated from Amesbury High School, Class of 1972, Amesbury. He was awarded the Friendship Award from his classmates because he had “all friends and no enemies!” He was employed from 1974 until 2006 at Opportunity Sheltered Workshop, Newburyport until he resigned and moved to his new home in Florida.
He was the brother of the late A. David Tassinari and is survived by his four sisters, Mary G. Tassinari, Susan F. Carleton, Elizabeth Tassinari, Nina Tassinari and brother-in-law, L. James Carleton, all of Barefoot Bay, Fla.; 10 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews plus two great-great-nieces.
Chuck leaves behind many friends especially Doug Wood and friends made from his God Families’ of Holy Family in Amesbury, Mass. and St. Luke’s in Micco, Fla.
His funeral Mass is Saturday, June 10th at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Micco, Fla., and burial will be followed at a later date at Holy Family Cemetery, Amesbury.
