Carol (Bowman)'s Story
Carol (Bowman) Reed, age 72, passed peacefully at her home in Seabrook, N.H. on Thursday morning, April 26, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Amesbury, April 23, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Marie (Mahair) Bowman and had attended Amesbury High School.
She will always be remembered by her devoted husband, A. Raymond Reed of Seabrook, N.H. and former longtime Amesbury resident; her sons, Mark Welch and wife, Cheryl of Amesbury, Timothy Welch of Lowell, Dennis Welch of Newburyport, Robert Reed and wife, Suzanne of Norfolk, Raymond Reed of Newburyport and Russell Reed and wife Erin of Seabrook, N.H.; her daughter, Donna Horgan and husband, Paul of Marblehead; her countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Charlie Bowman and wife Nancy of Amesbury; her sister, Alice Grover and husband Robert of Franklin, N.H., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and her many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Clifford and Raymond Bowman.
Carol’s happiness came from the smiles and hugs of her family, the face kisses and tail wagging of her dogs, family gatherings for backyard cookouts or holiday celebrations, cruising the country on the back of a “Harley Davidson” or just watching a sunset or sunrise. It was the simple things in life that were so precious to her.
