Alfred "Denny"'s Story
Alfred “Denny” Levesque, age 73, of Kingston, N.H., died peacefully and honorably at Exeter Hospital on Veterans Day, November 11, 2016. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Roberta Magowan-Levesque. Born in Amesbury, Massachusetts on July 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Leo and Loretta Levesque.
He was a graduate of Amesbury High School and attended Hawthorne College. He entered the U.S. Army when he proudly served his country during Vietnam. He considered it his duty and honor in life to serve his country and was a highly decorated, retired war hero, earning many medals and ribbons including multiple bronze stars with “V” for valor and several purple hearts. Mr. Levesque was an active member of the Stateline Field and Stream Club.
He leaves behind his wife, Roberta Magowan-Levesque. He was the father of Kristen Levesque and a cherished step-father to Michael Magowan and his wife, Maria; Coleen Magowan and husband, Jeff Bartel; and Linda Weeks and husband, Jeremy. He will be dearly missed by grandchildren, Jordyn, Nilan, Jennifer, Branden, Madeline, Rylee, Tyler, Gabriel, and Seguin; along with great-grandchild, Emersyn. He was brother to Robert, Dorothy, Shirley, Elaine, and Karen and a well-loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind several loyal friends and his canine companions, Cali and Angel.
Calling hours are Wednesday, November 16, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a short service of remembrance at 6:45 p.m. at EV Jutras Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury, MA. There will be a funeral service and graveside memorial to be announced at a later date.
