Adrienne "Andy"'s Story
Adrienne “Andy” Hall, 76, died Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Hyder Hospice House in Dover following a period of failing health.
Born November 21, 1940, in the Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William and Doris (Costello) Butler.
Mrs. Hall had worked for many years as the Assistant Director of the Public Library in Merrimac, Mass., as well as owning and operating Ferd-N-Ann’s Restaurant in Amesbury with her husband, Willard, where she was famous for her pepper rings. The couple was well known in Amesbury as Will and Andy.
Andy was an avid reader of any genre of the printed word, she loved animals, and enjoyed many different types of music, as well as loving the experience of travel during the many vacations she took with her husband over the years.
Members of her family include her husband of 43 years, Willard Hall of Hampton, N.H.; her son, Douglas Dowie and partner, Stacy Randall of Fremont, N.H.; her daughter, Donna (Dowie) Beckman and husband, Harrison of Seabrook, N.H.; and four siblings and their families, Thomas, William, and John Butler; and one sister, Kathryn Hart. In addition, she also leaves behind her step-children and their families, Steven and Allyson Hall and children, Breyer and Shelby; Wayne and Cindy Hall and daughter, Kaitlin; and Lorie (Hall) Umanita and Charles and daughters, Danielle and Claudia.
Family and friends may visit from 10 a.m to 12 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, NH.
A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Ridge Cemetery in Northwood, N.H., in the spring.
