So sorry to hear of Woody's passing. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

I took Woody's umpiring course and training session before joining the umpiring crew in West Newbury. Umpiring was my first job and I learned a lot from Woody during the several years I spent calling games (both about the rules baseball and life/work in general). I am grateful to Woody for the time and energy he devoted to the youth baseball program in West Newbury and have very fond memories of those years. No doubt he impacted many dozens of other kids in similar ways.

Sincerely,
Jon

My heart is broken hearing about the passing of Woody, my mentor and my friend. When I came to work for him back in 2013 it was like coming home every day and working with family. He was a man with a heart that was so big, and he touched so many lives. While getting to know the people of Amesbury and surrounding towns I heard wonderful stories of his hard work and outreach to many local causes and charities and Woody always had such nice things to say about all that he knew and oh he had so many stories. He will be missed by all that new him because he touched the hearts of so many people in the local community and he was so involved in so many wonderful organizations. Heaven gained an ...angel and he leaves such a legacy of giving and friendship.
My sincere condolences to Linda, Tim and Stephen and their families. Until we meet again my friend.

Dear Linda and family,

I am so very sorry to hear of Woody's passing.

Woody was such a remarkable, kind and generous man who touched the lives of so very many including mine. It was an honor to work for such a brilliant, professional man of such great integrity. I cherish my time I had working for him and I along with many, many others I'm sure will never forget Woody.

May God comfort you with his love and give you strength to carry on. Wishing you and the family peace in your hearts that passes all understanding.

With sincere and deepest sympathy,
Marty
