Steven Brian's Story
Steven Brian McBride, age 56, of Salisbury, died Saturday, November 11, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family, following a valiant battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband of Delia (Greaves) McBride.
Born in Lancaster, N.H., April 14, 1961, one of four children of James McBride and wife, Judy, and Shelba St. Onge and late husband, J. Richard St. Onge, he was a graduate of Amesbury High School.
Steve was a resident of Punta Gorda, Fla., for 18 years, where he worked as an electrician for Bay Electric in Sarasota, Fla., until moving to Salisbury several months ago.
He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, enjoyed camping and fishing, was quite the accomplished handy-man, always working on one project or another. Above all else, his greatest enjoyment came from time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by a daughter, Kristen McBride and fiance, Matt True of Amesbury, Mass.; two step-sons, Dominique Corridon and Christian Corridon, both of Atlanta, Ga.; two precious grandchildren, Dhalia and Keira; three brothers, Michael McBride of Amesbury, Barry McBride and wife, Patricia of Salisbury, and Jeff St. Onge and wife, Lisa of California; a sister, Kelsey Prendergast and husband, Matt of Westminster; along with numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and longtime friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 120 Main Street, Amesbury. There will be no visiting hours and burial will be private. Donations in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.
