Sandra L. (Cobb) Searles, age 63, died early Monday morning, September 25, 2017, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, surrounded by her supportive and loving family.
One of ten children, she was born on November 5, 1953, daughter of the late Arthur E. and Dorothy J. (Roberts) Cobb and had attended Newburyport High School.
As the proud mother of three children, she was a great influence in their lives, a safe harbor in difficult times, a referee in settling disputes, a confidant guarding the most precious secrets of the heart, someone who instinctively knew when hugs were needed, and most importantly, always impartial and full of unconditional love. Once her children started their own families and she became a grandmother, the love she held for her grandchildren filled her with emotions beyond words.

She is survived by her two sons, Nicholas Searles and wife Stephanie and Jason Searles; daughter, Ranae Searles; her six beloved grandchildren, who filled her heart with such joy, Peyton and Carter Searles, Cassidy Rose, Cameron and Kyle Shaw, and Cole Searles; her seven brothers and sisters, Marie Beal, Billy Lennox and wife, Joanne, Beverly Ansaldi and husband, Michael, Tommy Lennox, John Lennox, Bobby Lennox and Linda Skinner and husband, John, along with countless nieces and nephews, extended family members and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Darin Searles, and her two sisters, Patricia Searles and Mary Lennox.
A void has been left by her passing, yet through the pain of aching hearts and tears of sorrow, there are memories that bring unending joy and laughter, that can never be taken away.
By her request, there will be no services and burial will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.
