It is with great sadness that the family of Rose C. Ketchen announces her passing after a long battle of Alzheimer’s Disease, on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at the home of her son, Mark, in Amesbury, Mass. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. She was formerly a longtime resident of Merrimac, Mass., and Haverhill, Mass.
Rose is survived by her sons, Mark Sr. and wife, Deborah, Thomas Jr. and longtime companion, Kim Logsdon, David and wife, Donna, Peter and wife, Sharon, Jamie Sr. and wife, Lisa; her daughter, Susan and husband, Stan Carvell of Vero Beach, Fla.; her sister, Lorraine Legere of Florida; her niece and nephew, Kathy Gates and David Doucette; very special granddaughters, Christine and Katie, who helped care for her until the very end; nieces, nephews, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, Florence and Clayton Young; her husband, Tom; her son, Michael, Sr.; and daughter, Christy.
Rose was a wonderful woman who loved her faith in God. She was a dedicated artist. Rose and Tom owned several businesses throughout the years, while raising their children.
The family will have a private service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
