SOUTH HAMPTON, NH - Richard M. "Rich" Miller, 66, of South Hampton, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Exeter Hospital.
He was born September 3, 1951, on Long Island, N.Y., the son of the late James P. and Marge (Williams) Miller.
Raised in South Hampton, he graduated from Amesbury, Mass., high school with the class of 1971, and then began his military career with the U.S. Air Force. Rich served his country for 20 years, retiring as a staff sergeant in 1991.
After his retirement from the service, Rich served as a security guard, and then enjoyed working and training with horses. He was an active member and deacon of the South Hampton Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making model airplanes.
He shared 37 years of marriage with his wife, Gillian P. (Hayden) Miller.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter, Dannielle Miller and her partner Jason Evans of Seabrook; two granddaughters, Ashante Little and Jadann Evans; and his favorite feline friend Mia.
A visiting hour will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the South Hampton Baptist Church immediately followed by a service at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Central Cemetery, South Hampton, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
