Richard Joseph's Story

Richard J. Perreault, 73 (Hun, Dad, Bumpa), of Amesbury, peacefully began his journey to heaven on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.
Richard was the foundation of his family, an outdoorsman, artist, and a courageous mentor of life. He lived to love his family and appreciated the love of all of them. He worked as a tool and die maker/research and development engineer until he retired in 2009. He enjoyed classic car restoration, taxidermy, painting, carving, hunting and fishing with his son and grandchildren, and attending special events and sports games of his grandchildren.
Richard was extremely loving and proud of all his family, and is survived by his wife of 55 years, Katherine Perreault (Peanut), a son, Scott Perreault of Kingston, N.H., and his daughters, Cheryl Tebo and husband Glenn Tebo of Kingston, NH, Laurie Perreault of Amesbury, Lisa Cram and her husband Paul Cram of Palm Bay, Fla., Michelle Perreault and her partner Tracy Poirier of Haverhill, and Jill Lennox and her husband John Lennox of Hampton Falls, N.H., will be forever touched by the love he gave.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Paul Cram, Jr. and his wife Kristyn Cram, Michael Cram, Jonathan Roy, Justin Perreault, Connor Lennox, Nicole Tebo, Owen Tebo, Hallie Perreault, Katie Lennox and great-grandchild, Bentley Cram each hold a special spot in his heart and will forever hold near and dear the wonderful memories of spending time with Bumpa.
Richard is also survived by his Mother, Jeanette Perreault, and predeceased by his father, Henry Perreault of Amesbury, MA, his father-in-law, Kenneth Wilbur and his late Mother-in-law, Doris Wilbur of Nottingham, N.H.; his brother, David Perreault and his wife Kay Perreault of Fremont, N.H., nieces, nephews, and friends of Richard will miss him dearly.
The legacy of Richard will live on through his wife, son, daughters, grandchildren and all those whose lives he touched. He was an amazing talented man loved by many and respected by all, who dedicated his life to his family. "The greatest use of life is to spend it on something that will outlast it," and Richard did exactly that!
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Richard with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Parish Church, School St., Amesbury. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Amesbury. A reception will follow in the parish hall after the burial. Relatives and friends may call Friday, December 30, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the E. V. Jutras and Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Richard's Memory to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830.
