Pauline Caroline's Story
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Pauline C. (Lemaire) Gaudet on January 31, 2017, at the age of 78. Pauline passed away peacefully at Hyder Family Hospice House surrounded by her family. Pauline was born on August 22, 1938 in Amesbury, to Wilfred and Lucienne (Lariviere) Lemaire of Amesbury.
Pauline was married to Arthur R. Gaudet on August 31, 1958. Their 58 years of marriage blessed them with four children and three grandchildren. Pauline and her family were long time Amesbury residents until moving to Seabrook, NH in 2001. Pauline worked at the Hale Hospital, Haverhill, as a nurse and in the Medical Record Department for over 35 years. During their retirement years, Pauline and Arthur enjoyed winters in New Symrna Beach, Fla. Pauline loved sewing, crocheting, cooking and playing cards with her friends. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, which always included special homemade gifts. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her husband, retired Amesbury Fire Chief Arthur R. Gaudet, children Laureen (Gaudet) Rimmer of Hamilton Square, N.J., Arthur R. Gaudet Jr. and Joanna Rousseau of Newmarket, N.H., Dianne Gaudet of Acton, Mass. and Paul Gaudet of Seabrook, N.H.; grandchildren, Erin (Rimmer) Groeger and John Groeger, Ryan Cameron and Christopher Cameron. Pauline was predeceased by her sisters, Lucielle Shpack and Priscilla Cressy. She is also survived by her sisters, Anita Garand and husband William, Claire Brogan and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Pauline will be held on Monday, Feb. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home 118 Friend St. in Amesbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday Feb. 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish Church 2 School St. in Amesbury. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
