Paul was my direct supervisor.

In earlier years during the upgrade times, I knew of Paul but did not directly interact with him much. It was not until I became a Project Coordinator in the construction dept, where I had more interaction with him in the Winchester FMA office. After some time and circumstances changed I found myself working with Paul in the Woburn FMA office. We had day to day interaction, he in his role as a Plant Ops supervisor and myself in construction. This is where I developed a stronger relationship with him.

It was during this time that I saw the more personal caring side to Paul.

One day, my 5 year old granddaughter from Texas came to the office to visit with and go to lunch.

Paul was in the office, and of course I introduce her to Paul. He was warm, he lit up. He excused himself for a second and went over to a closet nearby. He came out with all kinds of little Comcast Chachkies.

He offered them to my granddaughter who gladly accepted her new toys!

Several times she played with them (bath time) she always remembers the nice man who gave them to her.

It hits me a bit hard, because as a coincidence, Ill be flying down to Texas this coming weekend to get my granddaughter and sadly she will likely mention that nice man again during her visit. All I will be able to do is smile and tell her yes, he was very nice.

I first got to know Paul when he worked for cable in Newburyport. I then had the good fortune of working with him again in Salem, NH. Paul was one of the most honest people I had ever met. He was fun to be around and was always willing to help people around him. I remember a time when he helped me years ago. Paul had a good ear for music and was kind enough to help me pick the music for a video gift I was putting together for my wife. I will never forget that, It meant a lot. My heart goes out to his wife, children and entire family. Paul will be surely missed. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

My son James did not start playing hockey until he was 11 years old and he did so with great anxiety. The Haverhill Pentucket Thunder Youth Hockey Program accepted him with open arms.

Despite being a first year player James had the good fortune to be chosen to play for the "Haverhill Hillies" spring PeeWee team (thank you Billy Janes) and be coached by Paul Duggan.

Paul and James had a special relationship. Paul understood how James was wired when other coaches may not have.

Even when James was not playing on the same team as his son Joey I would see Paul at the rink and he would ask me "How's Jame's doing?" Being the consummate hockey Dad I would tell him everything I thought he nee
...ded to work on and before I could finish Paul would stop me and say "How's James doing personally? Is he having fun?" Paul cared.....

James thinks the world of Paul and is playing hockey with a heavy but grateful and respectful heart.

Sincere condolences,

John, Coreen, Nicholas and James DeMarco

I have known Paul for at least 20 years, we worked together in the cable. He was my boss in 2017 at Comcast and helped me through a very difficult situation losing my position at Comcast. Paul was a good man and I enjoyed his friendship and laughter over the years. I will surly miss his smile and quick wit.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and all of his friends! Gone too soon, rest easy Paul! Best regards, Ken
