Patricia J. "Patti"'s Story
NEWBURYPORT - Patricia J. (Allen) "Patti" Chase, 62, of Newburyport, passed early Sunday morning, February 18, 2018, at the High Pointe House, in Haverhill, surrounded by her devoted family. She was the loving wife of the late Robert M. Kelley.
Born in Ipswich on November 13, 1955, she was the daughter of Judith (Callahan) MacIntyre and the late William Allen, and was a graduate of Triton Regional High School, then went on to complete many academic courses at North Shore Community College.
Patti embraced her role as devoted mother to her children, always making sure that they had what they needed. She instilled in them the importance of kindness, consideration, understanding, listening, and above all else, unconditional love.
In addition to her mother, Judith, she leaves behind her children, Devan Ferreira, and husband, Neal, Michael Chase, and wife, Kristin, Meghan Lemes, and husband, Vava, Jonathan Kelley, and Amber MacKenzie, Jeremy Kelley, and Catherine Coleman, Ian, Sean, Chantal, Sam and Jack Kelley; six grandchildren, Oliver, Lucas, and Genevieve Ferrreira, Juliet, and Jonathan Patrick Kelley, and Enzo Lemes; along with numerous siblings, countless nieces, and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She will be missed by them all, but the essence of her life will live in their hearts forever.
Visiting hours at the Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport, will be Friday, February 23, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to help support her three youngest children may be made to the Bob Kelley and Patti Chase Family Fund, c/o Lee-Anne Wolcik, Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank, 63 State Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
