Nancy B. (Morrill)'s Story
Nancy B. (Morrill) Follansbee, 82, longtime resident of Amesbury, passed away early Saturday morning, September 2, 2017, at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. She was the loving wife of Myron W. Follansbee, with whom she has shared 63 years of marriage.
Nancy was born in Portsmouth, N.H., October 12, 1934, one of seven children of the late William and Eleanor (Courser) Morrill.
As resident of Amesbury most of her life, she worked several jobs but mostly as a house keeper and care giver.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed various crafts, making rugs, knitting, and drawing. Nancy was always making something special for her family and friends and her greatest enjoyment came from seeing the delight in the eyes of the receiver of her labors.
She will always be fondly remembered by her three sons, Jay Follansbee and wife, Linda, Kevin Follansbee and wife Kathy, of Amesbury, and Steven Follansbee and wife, Carey of Londonderry, N.H.; her six grandchildren, Keith, Kristen and David Follansbee of Amesbury, and Haley, Abby and Brady Follansbee of Londonderry, N.H.; brothers, Russell Morrill and wife Suzanne of Florida, and Richard Morrill of Ipswich; sisters, Trudy Cole and husband, James of Florida, and Jean Bowlen of Salisbury; along with sisters-in-law, Ora Follansbee and Caroline Mack; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; extended family members; and dear friends. Nancy was predeceased by brothers, James Morrill and William Morrill, Jr.
By request of the family, there will be no services at this time. Donations in her memory may be made to The American Cancer Society, 40 Nagog Park, Suite 110, Acton, MA 01720. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.
