Melinda Gail (Ryan)'s Story
Melinda Gail (Ryan) Allison, 32, of Groveland, beloved wife of Kenneth Allison, loving and devoted mother of Kacie Lynn Allison, with her family at her side, died Friday morning, December 9, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, after a year long courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Lynn, August 8, 1984, daughter of Robert Charles Ryan and Linda Gail (Ferguson) Ryan of Groveland.
Her family moved to Groveland when she was five and Melinda was educated in the Pentucket school system, graduating from Pentucket High School, Class of 2002. She earned her degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from Salem State College in 2008.
For the past eight years she was employed as a Preschool Teacher at KinderCare, Daniel Lucy Way, Newburyport.
Melinda was an avid fan of Auburn University football. Melinda enjoyed traveling to Auburn, Alabama each year to attend the games in person with her brother, Bobby, a graduate of Auburn University. Besides football Melinda always looked forward to traveling to her lake front home in Maine to enjoy a peaceful day swimming with her daughter, Kacie and ending the day in front of the evening camp fire with her family and friends. Melinda always wanted a wave runner. This summer her wish came true as she took her first ride alone. The smile on her face said it all.
