Mavis L.'s Story
Mavis L. Eaton, 81, of Seabrook, died peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Exeter Hospital.
She was born in Seabrook on February 19, 1936 a daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Hall) Janvrin.
A lifelong resident of Seabrook, she graduated from Amesbury High School with the class of 1954. Following graduation she married her late husband of 38 years, Ronald Eaton who died in 1992.
Mavis worked for AT&T, retiring after nearly 30 years. She loved traveling and was a member of the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70 Women's Auxiliary.
Surviving family members include her sons, Ronald M. Eaton Jr. and his wife, Cheryl and Kenny Eaton all of Seabrook; sister, Brenda Pender of Amesbury; brother, Frank Janvrin of Seabrook; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Alfred, Ernest and Arthur Janvrin and sister Mary Etta Knowles.
Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private.
