Amesbury - Mary Modricker, 67, of Amesbury, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2019, due to health complications. A beloved mother and wife, Mary leaves behind sons John and Jason Valli and her husband, David Modricker. Mary is also survived by brothers Ed and Arthur Tobin; nieces Jessica Tobin and Florence Bergeron; and granddaughters Emilia and Ayla; along with many other close friends and family.

Born in Newburyport, but living in Amesbury for the past 20 years; Mary's kind heart and soft words will be missed by all. An avid New England sport's fan, Mary's dedication to the Patriots was only surpassed by her love for friends and family. A lover of butterflies, and classic rock tunes such as Fleetwood Mac's "Gypsy," Mary also loved to travel with her husband. Her sunny disposition, and intrepid nature made her the perfect co-pilot as they trekked across the country on trips to Napa Valley, the Grand Canyon, Minnesota, the Rockies, and points all across New England. Further afield, their travels included the Highlands of Scotland, a trip up the Eiffel Tower, and countless miles along the Nova Scotian coastline.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of Mary's life from 12 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 28, at the Sylvan Street Grill in Salisbury, Mass. At this difficult time, the family would like to express our sincerest thanks for the warmth and encouraging words provided by everyone in this difficult time. The outpouring of love and support is a testament to Mary's lasting memory.
