NAPLES, FL - Mary passed peacefully at the hospital on Thursday, December 7, 2017, with her son and daughter by her side. She was a woman of great strength and determination. She showed this often while battling health issues over the last nine months. Mary grew up and went to school in Amesbury, Mass., and moved to Kensington, N.H., with her husband, David, to raise their children.
Mary was always a social butterfly, constantly making plans with friends and calling relatives to chat. Over the years she built and maintained beautiful flower gardens at her home in Kensington, as well as harvesting fresh vegetables from the garden that her father-in-law had started. She and her husband were avid boaters, going on adventurous trips all up and down the New England coastline, developing lifelong friendship along the way. In the fall of 2015 Mary moved to Naples, Fla. There she enjoyed the warm weather and hosting guests looking to escape the cold winters of New England. She quickly made friends there and enjoyed attending activities with them at the club house. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, David B. Berry of Rochdale, Mass.; her daughter, Sarah P. Berry of Naples, Fla.; her son, Graham P. Berry of Kingston, N.H., and his fiancé, Janna L. Noyes; as well as her brothers and sisters, Kathleen Buck, Kevin O'Brien, Theresa Lesko, Michael O'Brien, Shawn O'Brien and Susie O'Brien. She was preceded in death by her father, William O'Brien; her mother, Doris Trombly; and brothers, William O'Brien and Brenan O'Brien. Services will be planned for the spring in Kensington, N.H.
