Margaret R.'s Story

Margaret R. “Peggy” Cerasuolo, 81, of Seabrook, formerly of Newburyport, Mass., died Monday, February 27, 2017, at Frisbee Memorial hospital in Rochester after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and other complications.

She was born November 29, 1935, in Charlestown, Mass., a daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Dugan) Donnelly.

In her earlier years Peggy was employed by Rex Venetian Blinds in Boston and later at the former Port Theater in Newburyport. She retired from Gould-Shawmut in Newburyport in 2002 after 25 years of service.

Peggy was a communicant of Star of the Sea Church in Salisbury, Mass., and was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella in Newburyport. She made her home in Seabrook since 2004, coming from Newburyport. Peggy loved music, whether listening to or singing, but mostly dancing with her husband. What she loved the most was having her family together.

She was the wife of the late Carl D. "Bud" Cerasuolo, who predeceased her in 2002.

Family members include five children, Donna Theberge and husband, Keith of Salisbury, Mass., Karen Marshall and partner, Rodney Lattime of Amesbury, Mass., Bud Cerasuolo and wife, Deenie of Evans, Ga., Scott Cerasuolo, Cathy Brown and husband, Kenneth, all of Seabrook; her loving sister and right hand, Dolly Donnelly of Haverhill, Mass.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Keith, Brian, Lindsey, Landon, Kiley, Tim, Lexi, Collin, Dyllan and Caleb Theberge, John, Heather, Johnny, Heather and Noah Perkins, Nichole, Nathaniel and Sophia Ellsworth, Travis, Nick, Erin, Madi, Luke and Rachele Cerasuolo, Tim, Kyle and Aaron Brown; brother-in-law, Vincent Cerasuolo; sister-in-law and loving friend of many years, Genevieve Calcagno; care-giver and special friend, Donna Bowlen; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her friend and feline, Benny.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Joey Donnelly and sister, Terri Johns.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, followed immediately by a service at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
