Lorraine M.'s Story
Lorraine M. (Fowler) Cynewski, 76, born in Amesbury, the daughter of Rita and Edward Fowler on November 24, 1940, died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness, with her family by her side.
She attended Amesbury schools and was a graduate of Amesbury High School. She married the love of her life, Norman, in 1961, they shared 56 amazing years together. In addition to her husband, Norman R. Cynewski Sr., she is survived by two sons, Norman Jr and his wife, Mae of Plaistow N.H. and Steven and his wife, Kate of Amesbury, and one daughter, Debbie and her husband, Mark Hutchinson of Amesbury, six grandchildren, Jared and Jordan Cynewski, Bryan, Eric and Troy Eaton, all of Amesbury and Lindsey Andino of Haverhill, all of whom will miss her tremendously. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Althea Cynewski of Amesbury.
Lorraine worked for many years throughout the Amesbury Public Schools as a cafeteria worker. She cherished nothing more than to have the opportunity of caring for her dearly loved grandchildren as they grew from infancy. She excelled at cake decorating, enjoyed participating in many craft fairs and loved to get out with her Beano and bowling friends. She also took great pleasure in entering the Amesbury Holiday Decorating Contests which she won 1st place many times.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, October 21st at the Amesbury Polish Club function hall from 4 to 7 p.m.
Arrangements are by the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home in Amesbury.
