GEORGETOWN - Lois C. (Ovington) Hazen, 84, a lifelong resident of Georgetown, having lived in her home for over 60 years, passed away on January 15, 2018 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. Lois was born in Newton, Mass. to the late Edwin D. and Doris E. (Ordway) Ovington. Lois was the owner of the former Hill Top Kindergarten in Georgetown and an active member of the First Congregational Church of Georgetown. She loved to travel to her camp in Tamworth, N.H. and was a beloved Red Sox Fan. Lois served the public for many years at the V.F.W. and the Rowley Country Club.
Lois was the loving wife of the late James E. Hazen, Sr. and is survived by her sons, James E. Hazen, Jr. and his wife Eileen of Seabrook, N.H. and John W. Hazen and his wife, Helen of Troutman, N.C., her three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, her siblings, Lee Chadwick of Topsfield and Edward J. Ovington of Maine as well as her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, January 20th at 12 Noon in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown.Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Saturday prior to her service from 10 to noon.
