Kenneth "Kenny" John's Story
Kenneth "Kenny" John Stevens, 56, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2017. Born in Newburyport, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Charles and Barbara Stevens.
Kenny grew up in Newburyport, Mass., and attended Newburyport High School where he excelled in sports, earning the MVP award in his senior year for football. His passion for sports continued on after high school. He was an avid boxer, basketball player and loved lifting weights. Kenny enjoyed reminiscing about spending his summers fishing with his father, uncle, brothers and cousins. He was a proud member of the Local 56 Pile Drivers Union where he served as foreman for various companies over the years.
He was a loving and devoted father to his son, Jake Stevens, also of Dover, N.H. Kenny will be greatly missed by his family, Anna Makos of Hampton, N.H., and his granddaughter, Indigo Raven of Seabrook, N.H.; his brothers, Leiland Stevens of Hampton Falls, N.H., and Danny Stevens of Salisbury, Mass.; his sisters, Marsha Duggan of Seabrook, N.H., and Gail Silvestro of Exeter, N.H.; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Stevens; mother, Barbara A. Stevens; brother, Charles W. Stevens, Jr.; and nephew, Brett A. Duggan.
At the family’s request services will be held privately and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Kenny’s memory may be made to the charity of choice.
