Kenneth A.'s Story
Kenneth A. Sanborn, age 82, died following a battle with cancer on October 9, 2017, at his home, with his daughter and family by his side.
Born and raised and educated in Merrimac, he was the son of the late Harry and Lottie Sanborn. He was a very talented carpenter and stonemason. He could build anything with his hands. Kenny and his late wife of 58 years, Donna (Morgan) Sanborn, moved to San Diego many years ago to be near his daughter, Denyse, and her family.
Kenny was a proud veteran of the Army, serving in the ordinance as a Blacksmith, and later in the 101st Airborne division. He loved going to yard sales, metal detecting, and the Casino. Kenny is survived by his loving daughter, Denyse and husband, Mick Fritzsching; grandson, Casey and wife, Lisa Fritzsching; step-grandchildren, Cory, Jamie and Tracy Fritzsching; brother, Albert and wife, Barbara Sanborn of Merrimac; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Louise Drouin, Pauline Belinsky, and Sandra Parker; and brother, Paul Sanborn.
Per Kenny’s request he will be cremated and his ashes along with Donna’s will be scattered off the coast of San Diego where they both loved to go.
