SEABROOK, NH - Karen (Juchniewicz) Shaw, 64, of Seabrook, NH, died peacefully Wednesday morning, February 21, 2018, at Exeter Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health. She was the dearly beloved wife of Kenneth L. "Ken" Shaw, her husband of 46 years.
One of seven children of the late William J. Juchniewicz, Jr., and Sadie P. (Hargraves) Juchniewicz, she was born in New Britain, Conn. and had attended Amesbury High School.
As a diversified seamstress, Karen worked at Ben's Uniforms in downtown Amesbury for many years.
Karen was devoted to her family, who filled her life with joy beyond compare. Her only grandchild, Lucy Shaw, brought a dimension of joy to her life that she never new existed. Needless to say, Lucy was her shining star.
She leaves behind priceless cherished memories to her husband, Ken; her daughter, Kelly Shaw; her son, Kevin Shaw; her granddaughter who was her pride and joy, Lucy A. Shaw; her two brothers, and three sisters, William J. Juchniewicz, III, Bruce A. Juchniewicz and wife, Melissa, Deborah Law, Pamela McGrath and Joyce Whent, along with countless nieces and nephews, extended family and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, George L. Juchniewicz. Although she is gone, the beauty of her life and spirit will never be forgotten by everyone who knew and loved her.
Visiting hours at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private for the family.
