John Henry Burke Jr.

June 23, 1928 - February 18, 2019

John Henry Burke Jr. Wesley Chapel, FL - Mr. Burke joined the Navy at age 17. He finished his high school education upon his return from the military at Rindge Tech. His life consisted of numerous accomplishments including his retirement from the Air Force and a long running career at several technical high schools in Massachusetts. He retired at the age of 70. He was very active in his church as well as the community. John was a call firefighter and a member of the board of assessors for the town of Newbury for many years. He was a jack of all trades and willing to help those in need without hesitation; A man of values and integrity. His humble, caring nature will be greatly missed. Mr. Burke is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Fran. He is predeceased by his brothers Richard and Joseph as well as his sisters Mary and Alice. He is survived by brother and sister William Burke and Lorraine Graham. He is also survived by his two daughters Valerie Burke, Kerri Frost and his grandson Adam Henry as well as his son-in-law David Frost. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Arrangements will be private. A memorial service will follow at a later date.

He was a great and I thoroughly enjoyed the times I got to know him on the fire dept when I was a proby.

John was a great firefighter and mentor to everyone coming on the department. He was a gentleman and will be missed by everyone
